Organizational Psychologist Esin ÇETİN ÖZBUDAK
Since graduating with a degree in Psychology in 2007, I have been active in the professional field. In 2014, I began the Master's program in Organizational Psychology at Istanbul Bilgi University, where I focused intensively on human resources and organizational psychology. Alongside my experience in human resources management, I have also participated in academic studies and projects focusing on organizational traumas, psychosocial risks, and the needs of employees in hazardous industries. Recognizing the benefits of employing creative tools throughout my career, I obtained my LEGO® Serious Play® certification in 2019 through a training organized by Per Kristiansen in Hamburg, Germany, further enhancing my expertise in serious play workshops. The LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® method is a thinking, communication, and problem-solving technique used with organizations, teams, and individuals.
In this method, participants follow a series of structured exercises using bricks and build models that metaphorically represent their personal or professional characteristics, challenges, thoughts, ideas, ideals, or goals.
Can you see the difference between a traditional/standard meeting* and a meeting where 100% participation is ensured?
*The manager is holding a meeting with his team of 10 people. He has a problem and asks his team about possible solutions. The first person presents an idea. The second person adds to this idea. The third person completes the final details of the idea. Manager: “Do we all agree?” he asks. (Everyone nods.) Maybe the tenth person has a good idea, probably the perfect solution to the problem, but now, he doesn't dare say it anymore, because everyone has accepted the idea.
